This year, NU AVE ART was honored to collaborate professionally with the Václav Havel Center and the Bohemian Benevolent & Literary Association on the full production of their Annual Gala, Truth Prevails.
While our Founder, Jana Krupkova, serves as the Executive Director of the Václav Havel Center in her separate nonprofit capacity, NU AVE ART provided independent production coordination and artistic support through our team. We are proud to have contributed our expertise to an event of such cultural, human rights, and artistic significance.
The gala brought together extraordinary individuals who share a commitment to democracy, freedom, and creative expression. Legendary artist Joan Baez received the VHC Lifetime Achievement Award in person, and Belarusian President-in-exile Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya accepted the Disturbing the Peace Award on behalf of imprisoned lawyer and writer Maksim Znak.
Hosted at Bohemian National Hall in New York City, the evening featured moving speeches, international guests, and a beautiful musical tribute by Steve Earle. Additional honors included the BBLA Award for Unparalleled Service to the Czech and Slovak Communities, presented to Henry Kallan, and the VHC Disturbing the Peace Award, presented by Salil Tripathi.
We are grateful for the opportunity to support such an impactful evening and to contribute to a program that celebrates individuals who continue to defend truth, human rights, and artistic freedom.
